![]() Karate is an extraordinary art which connects the strength of your soul and the quickness of your body. Karate can be described as martial arts which help you protect yourself and the weak, and makes your body at its’ best shape. It’s a type of sport which relieves stress, manages your anger, and top notches your endurance. Karate is a way of life, it has lots of philosophy in it. Kyokushin Karate is one of many Japanese Karate Martial Arts, it was invented my Masutatsu Oyama in the year 1964. In English, Kyokushin means “Community of Absolute Truth.” The goal of the system is to defeat all of your weaknesses; fear, anger, and other factors of the so called “lower nature” of a human, and then make you strong outside and inside. Kyokushin yra didžiausia pasaulio Karatė organizacija, turinti 12,000,000 studentų iš 140 pasaulio tautų. Mas Oyama taip pat pradėjo "Full-Contact", "Bare-Knuckle" turnyro sistemą. I chose this Karate Style not by coincidence- I picked Combat Kyokushin, not the Sport Kyokushin (In Sport Kyokushin the hits are only imitated, while the victory is decided by the number of points each person gets, so there are not knock outs.) It may sound brutal, but Kyokushin is not a brutal sport. This karate style involves Karate- do (traditional Karate), Thailand’s and Classical Boxing. Big plus is that it’s prohibited to hit opponent with an arm to the head, which prevents serious head injuries, while Muay Thai fighters and Boxers get them a lot. Also it is important to say, that Kyokushin Karate is the most popular non- Olympic sport style in Lithuania. Maybe that’s why Lithuanian are amongst the finest of Europe’s Kyokushin Fighters. |
